We have a maintenance window on Kebnekaise 2026-09-22 - 25.

We will upgrade the batch system and the batch server.

The update requires updates to the database in two separate steps and will thus take quite a long time.

All accesses to Kebnekaise will be unavailable during this maintenance window, no batch jobs running, no logins available.

On Thursday 20260827 starting at 19:00 there will be a maintenance on some network equipment that will cause temporary interrupts in connectivity to, and inside, HPC2N.

We expect this to take <3h.

We're currently having some problems with Keycloak that is used to login to OpenOnDemand

We're working to fix it as fast as possible.

The problem with RStudio has been sorted out and evetything should now work again

On Wednesday 2026-06-24 we will start an online upgrade of the storage system that contains users home directories and all project storage directories under /proj/nobackup.

/proj/cfl_nobackup will NOT be affected.

The upgrade will temporarily cause reduced performance and delays when accessing the file system.

To minimize problems with batch jobs the queues will from time to time be stopped from starting new jobs, but submitting new jobs will still work.

We will try to keep the impact to a minimum.
